FR FrameReady
Privacy Policy
FrameReady ("we," "us") operates frameready.io, a service that provides instant ballpark estimates
for steel buildings and connects people planning a building project ("buyers") with steel building
contractors ("contractors"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we
share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Contact information you provide: name, email address, and phone number.
- Project details you provide: location (ZIP code, city, state), building dimensions,
and options you select in the estimator or intake form.
- Contractor account information: email, hashed password, company profile details
(company name, contact name, phone, address, service state, logo), and subscription status.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe.
We never see or store your full card number; we store only transaction records (amount, status, Stripe reference).
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for
security and to keep the service running.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your estimate and email it to you.
- To connect buyers with contractors — this is the core of the service (see Section 3).
- To operate contractor accounts, subscriptions, and lead purchases.
- To respond to support requests and improve the service.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not send marketing email
without your consent.
3. How we share your information — read this part
The plain-English version: if you request an estimate and tick the consent box, your
contact information and project details become a "lead" that we provide to one or more contractors —
who may pay us for it — so they can contact you about your project. That is the service. If you don't
want your information shared with contractors, don't tick the box; you can still browse the estimator.
- With contractors: your name, email, phone, and project details, only after you have
given consent at the point of capture. Because contractors may pay us for access to leads, this
disclosure may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California
Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to opt out — see Section 5.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments),
Resend (email delivery), Railway (hosting), and Anthropic (the AI assistant that helps build
proposals). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety,
or property of FrameReady or others.
- Business transfers: if FrameReady is acquired or merged, your information may
transfer with the business, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we do not share it with anyone not listed above.
4. Your California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, and request a copy.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Non-discrimination: we will never penalize you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]
with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you are exercising. We will verify your
identity using the email address associated with your information and respond within 45 days.
5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information with contractors, email
[email protected] with the
subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." If your lead has not yet been claimed by a contractor, we will
withdraw it. Note that if you tick the consent box, sharing with a contractor may occur immediately —
opting out afterward stops any further sharing but cannot recall information a contractor has already received.
6. Data retention
We keep lead and account information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and
accounting obligations. You may request deletion at any time (Section 4).
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and the
site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect
your information.
8. Children
FrameReady is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect or sell the personal
information of minors.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued
use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
