Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of frameready.io ("FrameReady," "we," "us"). By using the site, requesting an estimate, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What FrameReady is (and isn't)

Estimates are ballparks, not bids. FrameReady's estimates are planning-level figures generated from public market-rate data. They are not quotes, bids, engineered designs, construction documents, or offers to build. Actual pricing is determined solely between you and any contractor you engage. Never rely on a FrameReady estimate as a substitute for a contractor's formal proposal or an engineer's design.

FrameReady is a marketplace: buyers get a free instant estimate, and — with the buyer's consent — we connect them with contractors who may pay us for that introduction. We are not a party to any contract between a buyer and a contractor, we are not a licensed contractor or engineer, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any construction work.

2. Buyers

The estimate is free. You are never charged by FrameReady.
If you tick the consent box, your contact and project details are shared with one or more contractors who may contact you. See the Privacy Policy for details and opt-out rights.
We do not endorse, license-check, or vouch for any contractor. Vet any contractor yourself — verify licensing (in California, at cslb.ca.gov), insurance, and references before signing anything or paying anyone.
We make no promise that any contractor will contact you or offer any particular price.

3. Contractors

Accounts. Keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
Lead purchases. Leads are offered first-come, first-served. When you claim a lead (by subscription or per-lead payment), you receive the buyer's contact information as submitted by the buyer.
What a lead is. A lead is an introduction — a buyer who requested an estimate and consented to contractor contact. We do not guarantee that any lead will respond, be ready to build, or become a customer.
Refunds. If a lead's contact information is invalid (non-working email AND phone), contact us within 7 days of claiming and we will refund or credit that lead. No refunds for leads that simply don't convert.
Subscriptions. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month through Stripe until canceled. Cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds.
Lead use. Use lead information only to contact the buyer about their project. Reselling, sharing, or adding leads to marketing lists is prohibited. Comply with all applicable laws when contacting leads, including the TCPA (calls/texts) and CAN-SPAM (email).

4. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes never apply retroactively to a current billing period.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no scraping, no submitting fake leads or fake estimates, no attempting to bypass the paywall, no interfering with the service's operation, and no unlawful use of any kind. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The FrameReady name, site, software, and content are our property. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from them. Proposals you generate with your own project data are yours to use.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY OF ESTIMATES, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES REFLECT ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRAMEREADY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY DEALINGS BETWEEN BUYERS AND CONTRACTORS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FrameReady harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or (for contractors) your dealings with any buyer.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by California law. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Stanislaus County, California.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
